Should I be worried about infertility or other complications?

I just recently found out that I have chlamydia. I believe that I have had it for a little over 8 months now, maybe even longer. I am getting it treated now. However my fiance and I are, well were, trying to conceive. I am really worried that this may cause problems with infertility. Im just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to expierence problems or even if anyone has any success stories to give me hope! Thank you for any help.

Well for what i know chlamydia doesnt cause problems with infertility, it can cause other symptoms like pelvic inflammatory disease, pain when you urinate, cloudy urine, or an abnormal discharge from the vagina.
However, if you already are pregnant theres a high risk and possibility that you can pass it on to the baby and it can cause the infant blindness (if it gets in his eyes) or even pneumonia.

And of course the best way to go is to get treated and conceive from having a baby until the STD is gone.
